Abstract: The isoperoxidase of 17 cultivars of Cllimonanthus praecox(Linn.) Link were analysed by means of pozyarclamid gel electrophoresis. The results indicated that the isoperoxidase patterns were remarkably different among the varieties had the respective characteristic isoperoxidase pattern on the basis of the band number, Rf, activity and width. Moreover, the resemblance of the isoperoxidase patterns of 17 cultivars of Chimonanthus praecox(Linn.)Link were analysed with the methods of arranging and clustering analysis.The results indicated that the isoperoxidese patterns could be analysed comprehensively and some one-sideness could be avoide 4. This can provide new bases and tools for distinguishing and identifing quantitatively the cultivars of Chimonanthus praeeox.
