Ginseng genus Panax, a member of family Araliaceae, consists of about 11 species in total. Most species of this genus are applied as tonic and medicinal plant resources. In this article, the genome size (CValue) of four ginseng species was estimated by flow cytometry using Oryza sativa as the internal reference. The results revealed that the CValues of four species are different from each other, and the CValue of Pnotoginseng is the largest, while the CValue of Pstipuleanatus is the smallest one.
