Abstract: Eupatorium coelestium L. is native to the southern of North America. It is a species of harmfu1 and toxic weed which has a strong capability of propagation. Sinca 1940's, it has extended from Burma to the southern Yunnacontinuosly and now widely disperses to,the higher altitude and colder regions.In these areas it often form a pupe gregarious communisty, The ecosystem is severely disturbed, and the livestock, forest natural regeneration and agriculture are damaged.

摘要： 紫茎泽兰（Eupatorium coelestium L．）是一种外来有害的杂草，近年来，在我国南部一些地区大量蔓延，已直接威胁到当地农、林、牧业的正常生产。该草在云南省南亚热带广阔范围内早已大量滋生，近年又以惊人的速度向中亚热带地区继续扩展，已使原有植被遭受到不同程度的破坏，从而引起相应的生态性灾难。若不及时加以阻止和防除，势必造成每况愈下且难以挽救的局面。现将我们在一九七八年秋天赴双柏县调查情况整理如下，藉此引起有关方面的重视，供参考。
