Abstract: The Camelllia ptlophylla germplasm resouce in Hunan rovince was evaluated. It con- tained specializational chemical ingredients in general tea. The tea polyphenol content (34% ~40% ) was more than the conventional level. The comprehensive results showed the wild tea germplasm resourse should have an important special value in tea breeding for black tea varieties a s well as used immediately in tea production.

摘要： 对湖南毛叶茶（Camellia ptilo phylla)资源进行了评价。结果表明，它含有传统茶叶的具表征意义的化学成分，茶多酚含量（34％～40％）达超常规水平，不仅可在生产上直接利用，而且在红茶品种选育方面有重要的育种价值。
